Retaliatory Input

The Retaliatory Input Schedule, located under Company Information, is used when adjustments to retaliatory amounts are needed across multiple states of filing.

This schedule is only available for certain states of domicile that may require additional information, such as other taxes, fees, or assessments, to assist in calculating retaliatory tax (for example: IL, MI, MO, NY, SC, TX, etc.).

For example, PC companies domiciled in Illinois can use the Retaliatory Input Schedule to enter amounts for the Regulatory Fee, Cost Containment Fee, Corporate Income Tax, Workers’ Compensation Second Injury Fund assessment, and Workers’ Compensation Rate Adjustment that are then calculated for each state of filing. These amounts differ by state because the proforma liabilities are based on business activity in the state of filing rather than in the state of domicile.

The schedule is customized for each applicable state of domicile and includes the specific items that may need to be considered in the retaliatory calculations.
